The scenic spot is adjacent to Jiangwan, a town in Jiangxi’s Wuyuan county and serves as a platform for cooperation between the two provinces.

It is a typical rural tourist destination featuring natural landscape and rich cultural heritage in western Zhejiang.

At present, it has developed two characteristic scenic spots -- Taihui Mountain, nicknamed “the Potala Palace in Jiangnan (or the area south of the Yangtze River) and Gaotiankeng Ancient Village. They are great choices for Red Tourism and leisure tour goers.

In recent years, Qicai Changhong Scenic Area is gaining more popularity and becoming one of the important destinations of rural tourism in western Zhejiang and even in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Changhong town is an important part of Fujian-Zhejiang (Anhui)-Jiangxi Revolutionary Base areas founded by Fang Zhimin, Huang Dao and Shao Shiping.

It has abundant water resources, and the Bijiahe Reservoir is the third largest reservoir in Kaihua. The unique rural scenery in Changhong makes it a pearl among all national parks in Eastern China. It is also a painting base of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, a photography base of Quzhou city and a demonstration area of rural leisure tourism in Kaihua.
